Batt Broadbent Solicitors is excited to announce the launch of our new dedicated Family Law department, expanding our legal services to serve our clients in Salisbury, Chippenham and the surrounding areas.
The new department is headed by Rosie Beaven, an expert Family Law solicitor who built her reputation in Dorset before moving to Batt Broadbent in Wiltshire. Joining Rosie is Lucy Race, who originally qualified as a solicitor at Batt Broadbent in 2012. Lucy took a career break in 2018 to raise her two daughters and start a business focused on assisting preschool children. Rosie said: “I’m really looking forward to building the new Family Law department at Batt Broadbent and having Lucy as part of the team. Her experience will be invaluable to our clients.”
Together, Rosie and Lucy bring extensive expertise to cover all aspects of Family Law, including divorce, matrimonial finances, child arrangements, and marriage-related legal advice. The new department’s dedication to Family Law clients is evident in their membership of Resolution, an independent community of Family Law professionals who work together to promote a constructive approach to resolving family issues.
Alongside her legal practice, Rosie is passionate about community, having founded Fordingbridge Women’s Networking Group, Salisbury Women’s Authentic Networking and The Brunchy Mamas. She holds strong connections to the local communities where she lives and works. Having studied at Bournemouth University, Rosie also inspires the next generation of Family Lawyers by lecturing on the University’s Undergraduate Law course each spring. Rosie said: ‘Writing and delivering Family Law lectures is a great way to keep myself and my department at the forefront of legal updates while educating future lawyers’.
Rosie and Lucy’s combined experience and community involvement are invaluable assets to our new Family department, ensuring comprehensive support for our clients facing Family Law matters.
Susan Atkinson, Partner, and Head of Private Client said: We’re absolutely delighted to welcome Rosie to Batt Broadbent, where she’ll be leading our Family department. Additionally, it’s with great excitement that we welcome back Lucy.’
